Swollen Joints – Signals That Weakens Your Heart!

Swelling of the joints in the summer is quite common place but also this phenomenon may be a sign of serious illness.

Although often it comes to common cause such as: poor circulation, obesity, wearing and awkward wardrobe, wearing uncomfortable shoes, long sitting or standing, etc. However, the appearance of bumps that are durable, require a medical examination and specific diagnostic to exclude suspicions of certain diseases.

Swelling in pregnancy

During pregnancy, the pressure of the blood vessels increases and it carries fluid from joints and feet so, it is quite normal that swelling of the legs is appearing. In most cases this is a normal phenomenon, still there is present the risk and the beginnings of the disease may lie in pre- eclampsia, a serious condition that occurs after 20 weeks of pregnancy and is characterizes by headache, abdominal pain, pachnina and vomiting. Heart, liver or kidney disease

In certain cases, swollen ankles can be a sign of kidney, liver or heart disease. During the evening if the ankles are swollen, there are chances for water retention and salt due to illness on the right side of the heart.

What should you do?

  • If you smoke, quit smoking immediately
  • Be active as much as you can (go on quick running, run, exercise)
  • Reduce the consumption of salt to a minimum
  • In the morning, when you stretch your body do a few exercises for legs and feet.
  • From time to time, lie on your back and lift up your feet up under one pillow. It is important that the feet and the lower legs are above of the level of heart.

Also, it is advisable to consume teas that eliminate the excess water from the body such as: parsley, nettle and basil. Also, in your daily menu add watermelons, melons, cabbage, tomatoes, kale, cucumbers and carrots.

1.Tea from basil against gout


  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 cup of water


Put water on the fire to boil, then add the basil and remove the pan from the fire. Cover and let it stand for 15 minutes. Strain it and drink twice a day.

2.For discharging excess fluid


  • 1 tablespoon dried of fresh leaf parsley
  • 1 cup of boiling water


Add the leaf from parsley into the boiling water and wait for 5 minutes to stand and strain. Drink one cup per day.

3.Against heart failure


  • 1 handful slats from nuts ( from the middle of the kernel)
  • Half liter of water


Put the slats of nuts into the water, let it stand 10 minutes, then strain. Drink the tea in sips.

4.Against thrombosis


  • 1 tablespoon of calendula
  • 1 tablespoon of plantain
  • 1 tablespoon of yarrow
  • 1 tablespoon of dandelion
  • 1 liter of boiling water


Pour the ingredients into the previously boiled water. After several minutes, strain the tea and drink it throughout the day. It is desirable for a day to drink 2 liters out of the freshly prepared tea.

5.For better circulation


  • 1 tablespoon of greater celandine
  • 1 tablespoon mistletoe
  • 200ml of boiling water


Pour the greater celandine and the mistletoe with boiled water and let it stand at least for 10 minutes and strain it after. Drink it 1-3 times a day.
