Red Meat And Fried Food Accelerate The Aging Process!
“Some dietary habits are able to stop the aging process. Avoiding the unhealthy Western diet should reduce your risk of serious diseases as you age and keep your mental and physical function proper,” says Tasnime Akbaraly, head of the research done on the INSERM Institute in Montpellier, France.
According to a British research, the Western diet is not good for your long-term health. People who eat too much fried and sweet food, red and processed meats and full fat dairy products have an increased risk of premature death. This also increases the risk of serious diseases in the elderly.
The research went on from 1985 to 2009, and included 3 800 men as well as 1 600 women in Great Britain with an average age of 51. The results of the research showed that 73% of the subjects had aged normally, while 4% of them aged perfectly, without chronic diseases and with great mental and physical capabilities.
During the research, 13% of the subjects experienced a cardiovascular event, 3% died from cardiovascular diseases while 7% died from other causes. The results of the study were published in the American Journal of Medicine.
“The subjects who were on the western diet had the slightest chances of perfect aging,” says Akbaraly.
