PREGNANT MOM GOES IN FOR AN MRI. NOW SHE CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT IT CAUGHT HER TWINS DOING!
Recently, a mom pregnant with twins went to the doctor to get an MRI using a new state-of-the-art monitor that has been praised for its great detail. This new technology provides parents and doctors with clean footage of their babies, and is especially great for twins as it can help doctors determine problems such as twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a condition when one twin siphons blood from the other.
This new cinematic ultrasound technology can also detect hiccups, swallowing, stretching and yawning. The video below will show you what a pair of twins is doing in the stomach. They are onto a classic sibling rivalry early in the development stages as they wrestle each other in the womb! But, don’t be alarmed – doctors say that this is completely normal behavior for twins.
Dr. Marjorie Greenfield, division chief of general obstetrics and gynecology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, told ABCNews.com: “If you’ve got two fetuses in the womb, they can’t possibly stay in their own space. Twins have been kicking in wombs for millennia. Only now we’re able to experience it like this.”
This amazing new tech helps doctors provide better healthcare, and also provides parents with a never-before seen footage of their unborn babies!
