191-Year-Old Woman Discovered in Nigeria. Oldest Living Person In The World!
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, 112-year old Yasutaro Koide from Japan is the world’s oldest person. However, they should check their records after photos have surfaced online showing a Nigerian woman named Mama Esifiho who claims that she is 191 years old!
Her great-great grandson has confirmed her age who says that she told him that she witnessed the birth of his grandfather! If the claims are true, Mama could very well be the oldest person in the world.
She lives in Esoko, a countryside community in the Delta State of Nigeria that was founded in the 18th century. The main food source of the community is the Cassava root, which may explain the woman’s longevity. “Cassava is loaded with magnesium and copper. A diet rich in magnesium promotes life-long health, lowering your blood pressure and reducing your risk of osteoporosis. While a diet rich in copper helps support healthy nerve function. A cup of cassava contains 23 percent of the copper you need each day,” say experts from the Institute of Medicine.
