Pine needles have been used for successfully expelling phlegm, against lung ailments, particularly colds and bronchial asthma.
Collect a kg of young pine needles, wash them thoroughly and arrange them on a dry napkin to drain.
Put them in a large glass jar, adding sugar between each row.
For a kg of pine needles, you’ll need a kg of sugar.
Close the jar with cellophane and allow it to rest for five to six weeks.
In that time, the pine needles will let off a sticky juice.
Strain it, pour it into a clean glass jar and use it as ordinary honey.
