DIY Natural Sink Cleaner: 3 Ingredients

When was the last time you gave your kitchen sink a good cleaning? If you hate seeing hard water stains, then it might be time to wash it.

This time, however, instead of using special cleaners or chemicals, try this simple solution.

What You Need:

  • Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Oil (any kind really– even baby oil works)
  • Lemon Juice (optional)
Look at your dirty sink in disgust and then be happy that soon it will sparkle!

Pour the baking soda into the sink (generous amount) and get it a little wet so it looks like a paste. I recommend using lemon juice, but you can also use water. After you make the paste, spread it all around your sink.

Put some vinegar in a spray bottle and squirt the baking soda to make it wet and fizzle, then leave it alone for about 10 minutes.
After ten minutes, pour some HOT water in the sink to remove the vinegar/baking soda mix.
This is what the sink looked like with NO scrubbing. I just wiped it with a paper towel to dry it and it easily removed a lot of grim. Ew.
Now pour a little bit of oil into the sink and rub it around with a paper towel. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wash it off with water.

Shiny! And it barely took any work.
I use this in conjunction with the 3 natural ways to clean your kitchen when I deep clean once a week. I hope you like it!
