Nasal breathing

This type of breathing is proven to be healthy way because it stabilizes the heart rate and brain activity. It is the first line of defense, as the nose filters out dust, pollutants, bacteria, viruses, or anything which floats in the air, but may enter the lungs. When you breathe through the nose you increase more oxygen in the blood. Thus, the nose is major health hazard prevention.

Mouth breathing

This type of breathing has been shown to interfere with the body’s natural mechanism, changing a number of benefits of the body, and causing different health issues. You continue causing health problems, even when you breathe through the mouth at certain times when lifting something heavy, which appears natural to us. This results in lung obtaining dirty air without filters first.

It is much healthier to breathe through the nose rather than through the mouth. It is the way we ingest oxygen that affects the level of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the lungs and the blood. CO2 is a major nutrient which helps in regulating the healthy pH range of blood to allow oxygen supply the tissues and the brain. Without it we won’t get the oxygen we need, thus when not breathing correctly, we take the oxygen our body needs.
